Happy Tuesday! Our weekend flew by in a flash: College & Career Friday night (all guys, so they had a campfire and I watched Netflix inside where it was cozy), Allen and the guys went biking all day Saturday and I had the best time with my girls, then Sunday was full of church, naps, planting flowers, and just life.

On the ministry front, we are officially at 14% and have scheduled presentations with 6 churches in May and June! Specific dates are listed on our Facebook page. Lord willing, we will be at 40% by the end of the month, when our church votes on May 20th regarding their level of support as our sending church. Read More

Kabiye

Togo has three “national” languages: French (spoken throughout the country), Ewe (spoken in the south), and Kabiye (spoken in the north). Kara, Togo is located in the northern part of the country, so we will learn Kabiye.

The whole Bible has been translated into Kabiye, but when I was doing research the other day, I also found THIS RESOURCE: Creation to Christ videos and lessons in Kabiye! While I had no idea what they were saying at any given time, it was so cool to hear the Gospel in the language that we will share the Gospel in ourselves! Read More

Allen and I went on a breakfast date this last weekend and spent a big chunk of time talking about this period of transition in our lives, particularly what excites us, what worries us, and what we need to navigate this season. I went to the eye doctor this week for my annual check-up. She said everything is holding steady – my vision hasn’t changed much in the last 3 years or so. I picked out new frames though and am so excited to get them next week. While examining my eyes, the doctor said, “Oh, I see your allergies are kicking in.” WHAT?!
