As I tried typing the title of today’s post, it auto-corrected to Fork Day Favorites. So maybe that should be a thing one day. (That day isn’t today.)
Here are some highlights from the week:
Nearly everyday, Ruth and Clara are playing outside with their sweet friend. They like to go to the “basketball poops,” as Hudson calls them, and ride little bikes around. So fun!
We took a family walk this week to the soccer field at the top of campus just in time for the sunset. It was so beautiful and peaceful and a great opportunity to pray over the campus and the town of Sherbrooke.
We are embracing fall with all things cozy and creative, including having language school students over twice a week for prayer time (Wednesday mornings) and Bible study (Saturday mornings; we’re studying the Psalms of Ascent!). We always have a pot of coffee on and there’s usually freshly baked snacks here, too!We received the BEST care packages from my parents this week, stuffed full of yarn, school supplies for the kids, and a few little toys. The girls LOVE their new unicorns that my parents tucked in one of the boxes and have been showing them off at every opportunity. So when they saw our upstairs neighbors coming up the sidewalk, they practically begged us to let them say hi and show off the unicorns. Thanks to our dear friends David and Kristy, Allen and I had a little date night this week! It consisted of thrifting and a Chinese dinner at our apartment. Despite the low-key-ness of it, it was so nice to just hang out and be together.
So there’s our week in a nutshell! We’re spending a chunk of the weekend doing homework, which fell to the wayside some the last few days. C’est la vie!
