Happy Friday!

Today we’re sharing five favorites from the last week. Be warned: we didn’t take a lot of pictures this week, but it was definitely a week for friends! In no particular order, here we go!

Celebrating Hudson’s second birthday was a huge favorite this week! We took a little train ride on Saturday! We went about 15 minutes (three miles) up the track, got off the train to watch a demonstration of the turntable, and then got back on the train for the return trip. It was the perfect length with three little kids and the turntable demonstration in the middle was a nice chance to stretch our legs and get some more wiggles out.

We had some friends from Life Group over for dinner Sunday night. Their son ran around and played like crazy with our girls. They were all in and out of costumes, playing with Legos, pretending the floor was lava… it was so nice to have people over to our home again.

Monday night, I started chatting weekly with a wonderful French woman who lives in Canada. For a whole hour, I got to practice my French with her and we had so much fun chatting. We’re making it a weekly thing, so I’m excited to see how God uses that time in my language studies and relationally!

And then I caught up with a sweet friend from Alaska (hey, Marianne!) Tuesday night. We talked forever on FaceTime and I hung up with her feeling so encouraged and happy.

Allen and the kids got to hang out with some friends Thursday night, since Life Group was cancelled this week. It was a little chilly (in the mid-30s), so after running around for a little bit, they headed to our friend’s house for dinner.

Every now and then, I’ll randomly find some pictures on my phone that Ruth or Clara took. This is one of them, and when I saw it, I just laughed.

Well friends, that’s about it. Hope you have a great weekend!
