Okay, okay, so I know we said we weren’t going to post any more this week…
But today is my dad’s birthday and we had to celebrate him!
My dad is one of our faithful blog readers, prayer partners, and cheerleaders. He rallies behind us and encourages us to keep doing the next thing.
My dad left a successful career in law enforcement to be our part-time childcare provider… and he and Ruth passed many hours like this together:
Now, my dad is fulfilling a dream of owning a ranch.
Happy birthday, dad. I’m thankful you taught me how to change a tire, shoot a gun, butcher pigs, and play baseball (even though I was terrible at it). But most of all, thanks for teaching me to trust God above all else and that I can do hard things.
PS – it’s better to have and not need than need and not have.
