It’s Election Day! If you’re able to and haven’t yet, vote! I have a Bible study journal I use every morning and this was the verse at the top of today’s page:
[God] changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Daniel 2:21
We can have peace on a tumultuous day knowing that God is working it out in America and in the world.
In addition to praying for our country, its leaders, and God’s will, here’s how you can pray for our family:
Continued success in learning French. We are halfway through our program and can see improvements every day! If you missed our October newsletter last week, we’re planning to return to Oregon in mid-December and begin French classes online through a school in Quebec in January. Pray that that, too, will be fruitful learning for us.
Health and rest. We had the most amazing weekend with dear friends in Knoxville. We drank coffee, laughed, played games, and watched our kiddos run around together. Allen and I even got to go on a lunch date together that included some of the best cookies we’ve ever had. We shared about Togo (watch our presentation here!) and had Chinese food and got lots of hugs. After the weekend, we feel so refreshed… but we also know that we need God to do that constant refreshing in our lives. Pray that He will grant us health and rest, and that we will be daily refreshed in Him.
Have a great week, friends. And remember that no matter who is in the Oval Office for the next four years, God is on His eternal throne.
Amen! Thanks for sharing those great words of encouragement!
