Like everyone, our plans have been affected by COVID-19 and like everyone, we are trying to figure out how things will look for our family in the next one, three, and six months.

But I was reading God’s response to Job in Job 38-41 yesterday and I saw, again, how God binds things (like Pleiades in Job 38:31) but also loosens things (like the cords of Orion in the same verse).

God literally holds things back and releases them according to His timing… whether that’s Leviathan (Job 41:1ff) or our own attendance at language school.

We continue to pray for these specific things (read more details about them here):

• Our girls’ passports to come in quickly
• France to begin issuing Visas
• The remainder of our monthly support
• Wisdom for life now

But we do so while also praying, “God, will you please accomplish Your will, and not ours?”

Maybe He is holding passports and language school back for a time so that He can loosen something else that’s even better for us. Or maybe He is going to absolutely loosen the passports, the visas, and all the other little things that need to be lined up in time.

We don’t know.

He does know.

We’re trusting Him.
