Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! This is always a fun post to write because we get to look back over the week and reflect a little bit. It seems crazy, all the things we crammed into the last 7 days…

We kicked off Friday with a quick overnight trip to Soldotna! It was our final family getaway before our kiddos leave the state and it was a much needed break with these friends…

… playing outside…

… sharing meals…

… and just genuinely enjoying our time in the beautiful sunshine.

We drove home Saturday afternoon, then had our commissioning service on Sunday. That was a really encouraging service for Allen and me.

Sunday afternoon, we invited people over for a farewell open house in our back yard.

And we were so blessed by everyone who came. Ruth’s sweet preschool teachers even stopped by to surprise her and she was in awe that they were at our house! They brought by some balloons and a little medal for our big girl. Preschool was such a great growing experience for Ruth. We can’t wait to see how she handles school in France!

We spent all afternoon enjoying time with friends, the beautiful weather, some s’mores, and pizza. It was one of our favorite afternoons in a long time!

The rest of the week was spent reading new books…

… spending time packing and chatting with sweet friends…

… and trying to soak in every last minute as a family in our home (we don’t know what Ruth is doing in this picture either).

We are also thankful that, despite our support requirements increasing by about $200 per month due to insurance, we had several families join our partnership team this week! Thank You, God!

Have a great weekend, friends!
