Anywhere. Anything. Abundantly More.
We are diving into a new book study with these children’s Sunday School lessons! Today kicks off a look at the book of Romans.
What?! Teaching theology to kids from Romans?!
Yes.
Why not?
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16.
It doesn’t say, “If you’re in high school, it’s useful.” Or, “If you’ve been to seminary, God’s word can train you in how to live.” There are literally ZERO caveats in that verse, meaning that yes, given the power of the Holy Spirit, the correct vocabulary, and a cupful of patience, we can teach our kids theology from Romans even at a young age.
So here’s today’s lesson:
Rather than scripting out a whole lesson, we give ideas of how to communicate these Biblical truths to your kiddos. But you know them best! Use the vocabulary they understand. Use examples they can relate to. Praise God that He always takes our stammering words and blesses them. His word never returns void, but always accomplishes what He intends for it to (Isaiah 55:11).
So enjoy! Have fun! And let’s learn (and teach) theology together.
What an inspirational challenge!
