Turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce… these foods are delicious and awesome, but totally not the point of today. We are told in 1 Chronicles 16:34, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
We are told to give thanks. Why? Because God is good.
No matter what food is on the table, what day of the week it is, or what’s going on in our lives, God is good.
We are thankful for His steadfast nature, for His love and mercy, for His compassionate grace and righteous judgment.
We are thankful for our family and friends who know us and love us.
We are thankful for God’s provision in our lives, both now and as we prepare to serve Him in West Africa.
We are thankful for salvation.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. May today be filled with true, heartfelt thanksgiving to the Lord.
