Friday Favorites: Oh Hey, Togo!

We are in Togo! We can’t wait to share what we have seen and experienced with you.

In the mean time, here are a couple favorites from the week!

We posted our April newsletter! Did you see it? If not, click here!

We also shared how you can be praying for us as we travel throughout Togo this week. That lost of prayer requests is available here.

And we shared some “Fast Facts” about Togo – click here for those!

Phew.

Okay, what else?

Our washing machine went out last Saturday (boo), so we had to buy a new one. Allen used the box to make the girls a little house and they loved playing in it! See the keys hanging on their little handle? So fun.

Having my parents with us before our trip was such a blessing, too. They watched the kids while we packed, did the dishes, helped fold laundry… and now, they are watching two little tornado girls! Thank you, mom and dad!

Finally landing in Togo yesterday was another favorite: the different shades of browns and greens making a kaleidoscope of a country; the trees interspersed between houses so different from our own in Alaska, but so similar at the same time; the ocean butting up to land, playing host to various kinds of boats… I wish you all could have seen it. Instead, here’s a picture from the plane window that doesn’t do it justice:

Have a great weekend, friends!

  1. Praise God, that’s an answer to prayer! Looking forward to seeing some cool pictures and reading future updates.
