Hi friends! Hard to believe, but tomorrow, Allen, Hudson, and I board the first of three flights to take us to Togo for our site visit!
This is how we feel about it:
We. Are. Jazzed!
Totes and bags are prepped and stacked, itineraries are printed, passports are in hand… and antibiotics are tucked into carryons.
Yes, antibiotics.
I have a bad ear infection and am on strong antibiotics for it. Allen is still not feeling well. And Hudson is sick, too, with a cough and runny nose. The girls are not well, either, but they do seem to be improving slightly day by day.
I always have issues with my ears when I fly (pain to the point of tears and exaggerated gum chewing that still results in burst ear drums), so I’m a little nervous about our flights. I bought “Ear Planes”, which supposedly help with ear pain. We’ll see.
Anyway, here are some specific prayer requests for our family this week:
- Safety traveling, healing, and a successful site visit for me, Allen, and Hudson. We are really praying for God to reveal His will for our family and ministry while we are there, so you can pray for clarity of vision.
- Safety, and peace for my parents (Phil and Patti) who will be watching Ruth and Clara.
- Pray, too, that my parents don’t get sick while they are here. With my grandpa’s compromised/non existent immune system due to his cancer treatments, they can’t help him and my grandma if they are ill when they return to Oregon.
Thank you for praying for us, and a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us get ready to go. From mosquito nets and bug spray to monetary gifts that more than meet our financial needs in Togo, we are so thankful that the community God has given us as we prepare to serve overseas long term.
God bless!
Praying for you and family…
Thank you, Peggy!! <3
Prayers going up 🙏🏻❗️We are looking forward to seeing picture and video updates❗️
Thanks, man!
Fasten your seatbelts because you are about to experience one great adventure! I am in awe of your faith and I will keep you all in my prayers. Please say to Pastor Moussa from Loy and I. Will you be staying at the SIL Center?
Thanks, Terri! We’ll tell him you said, “Hi!” And we will be staying at the SIL Center. Thank you for your prayers!
