Tuesday Talk: Return to Work Edition

We survived my return to work!

I started back to work last week (I’m a Business Systems Analyst for our local school district). Allen and I were both uncertain about how things would go, but so far, so good.

Hudson is taking a bottle just fine and I’m able to pump at work. The girls are mostly getting along and sometimes napping well (thanks to the time change, though, naps have been much later than usual… anyone else having this problem still?!).

However, ever since I started back to work, the girls have not been sleeping well at night… so much so that we decided to just transition Clara to a toddler bed from her crib. I mean, why not? Things couldn’t get worse, right?!

She was so proud and excited! And she has done a great job sleeping in it so far. She usually gets up once right after we put her to bed, but goes right back down. She’s fallen out a couple times, but just climbs right back up.

So anyway, here’s how you can be praying for us:

  • For Ruth and Clara’s sleep to settle back down.
  • For Allen’s classes this semester. He’s in the upper level courses and assignments are more time consuming.
  • For 75% funding before our upcoming site visit… We have had some new partners in the last week or so and we’re getting closer to that goal. Keep praying!

And a praise:

We had a need that we only shared with God… but twice in the last 2 days we’ve had people help meet that need out of nowhere. What a blessing to know that God hears our needs and uses His Body to help meet them in unexpected ways.

Another fun note: this Sunday, our church is having a Missions-focuses service. Allen and I have an opportunity to share an update about Togo and, if possible, we’d love to have you there.

Have a great week, friends!
