Happy Friday! We can’t believe it’s already March 1st. When Hudson turned one month old this week (on Monday) we breathed a sigh of relief: we made it through that first crazy month! We have some more favorites for you, including a picture of Hudson’s grumpy “old man face” that you won’t want to miss.
This one month old is so sweet, despite his grumpy face:
Hudson weighs close to 11 pounds and is about 24 inches long. He is growing like a champ, sleeps pretty well at night, and is the center of attention in our house. Clara, especially, always wants to hold and hug and touch him.
Lately, both of our girls have wanted to be swaddled, since they see Hudson swaddled. We like it because Allen can swaddle them, turn on a movie, and next thing we know…
… both girls are sound asleep! While they sleep, Allen and I can usually get some rest, too, or at least have a good conversation. We all win… until the movie the girls are “watching” during their nap ends and Allen turns it off, waking them up, and causing Ruth to be quite upset because, “Hey, I was watching that! Daddy turned my movie off!” Oops.
We played outside some more this week!It has been cold in the mornings but usually warms up by the afternoon. Spring is coming!
Little Alaskan baby!
Yes, Clara is wearing two left hand, mismatched gloves. We have since found her (matching) pair.
We were so surprised to find more high bush cranberries! Our girls loved to walk in the back yard and eat these, so I thought they were all gone. We found some frozen ones though! We didn’t eat them, but again – spring is coming!
Aunt Betty came over on Thursday and spent some time with us. Then she blessed us by watching Ruth and Clara so both Allen and I could go to Hudson’s chiropractor appointment. We took pizza home for lunch for us all and just enjoyed being together before I go back to work in two weeks.
That’s all for this week, friends!
Remember our dessert partner get together is coming up next Saturday, March 9th at 6:30pm. We hope to see you then!
