Togo in the News: Jus Delice

I came across this article recently: a juice company in Togo secured 2.6 million Euros to produce top-quality natural pineapple juice.

This may not seem like a big deal…. but y’all. This is huge.

This move will help support more than 7,500 farmers across the country as the organically grow pineapple, mangoes, and various oils. For a country whose average resident lives on less than $1000 per year, this has the potential to change lives and families and generations. Families will have increased access to education, transportation, infrastructure, and food.

But as Matthew 4:4 says, “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” I pray that as Togolese farmers grow in their ability to farm organically, the also have seeds of Truth planted into their hearts that bears much fruit.
