Busy Doesn’t Equal Meaningful

A busy life does not equal a meaningful life.

I’m not sure where I heard this quote, but I wrote it on a sticky note a couple months ago and it has been hanging on my desk at work ever since. I look at it from time to time, but never really think about it. It’s become white noise, you know?

We are in a busy season right now, sure. Everyone is.

But this week, I want to be really intentional about doing meaningful things, not just busy things. Enjoying Clara’s smile and playing with her on the floor. Snuggling Ruthie when I get home from work. Taking time to talk to (and listen to) my husband before bed.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” – Colossians 3:17
